The Dell Rapids 14U baseball team won their fourth straight game with a 14-2 victory over Tri-Valley White on Sunday, June 25th.
Tri-Valley got a run in the top of the first inning, but the lead didn’t last long. Dell Rapids scored seven times in the bottom of the first and kept rolling from there. They would add two runs in both the second and third innings for an 11-1 lead. Tri-Valley got another run in the top of the fifth only to have Dell Rapids score three times to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Thomas LaVoy had three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs. Jackson Peppel finished with two hits and three RBIs. Luke Symens had two hits and two RBIs. Kaiden Zellmer had a hit andd two RBIs. Eli Gullickson had two singles. Rhett Thoreson, Andrew Schoeberl, and Magnus Narigon all had one hit each. Jake Heinitz added an RBI.
Gullickson pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and walk with two strikeouts. Schoeberl pitched two innings and allowed a hit and walk with a strikeout. Heinitz pitched one inning and allowed an earned run on two hits with a strikeout. LaVoy also pitched an inning walking one and striking out one.
