The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team got back in the win column with a straight-set home win against the Tea Area Titans on Thursday, September 8th.
Dell Rapids jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the opening set and cruised to a 25-7 first set win. The second set started much closer as the score was tied 10-10. The Quarriers then went on a 9-3 run for a 19-13 lead. Tea was able to tie the score 21-21, but Dell Rapids scored the final four points for a 25-21 win. The Titans started the third set on a 7-0 run. Dell Rapids fought back to tie the score 11-11. They continued their rally and went ahead 20-13 before winning the third and final set 25-15.
Kylee Fiddelke had eight kills, five set assists, and a block. Maddie Henry also finished with eight kills with four ace serves. Sophi Randall had a team-high 21 set assists with eight digs and a block. Alaina Wolff added 11 digs, and Lauryn Kloth had a block.
Dell Rapids will travel to Canton on Tuesday, September 13th and then host Tri-Valley on Thursday, September 15th.
