The Beresford Watchdog girls fell to a record of 8-8 after the Vermillion Tanagers defeated Beresford 61-34 on Tuesday, February 4th.
After an early 3-2 lead by the Tanagers, they went on a 9-0 run to extend the lead to 12-2. They pushed the lead to 20-7 by the end of the first quarter. Vermillion added 22 more points in the second quarter and led 42-17 at halftime. Both teams scored 14 points in the third quarter, and Beresford still trailed 56-31 going into the fourth quarter.
Ella Merriman finished with 17 points. Lily Sievert had eight points. Harley Koth ended with four points. Hanah Colford had three points, and Kendra Ellis had two points.
