The Beresford Watchdog girls continued to play well and earned a big 63-28 win over the Irene-Wakonda Eagles on Tuesday, January 28th. It was the Watchdog’s fifth win in six games.
Beresford built a good lead in the first quarter and cruised from there the rest of the game. They led 17-8 at the end of the first quarter and extended the lead to 34-19 at halftime. The Eagles only scored two points in the third quarter, and Beresford led 53-21 going into the fourth quarter.
Three players finished in double figures for the Watchdogs. Ella Merriman finished with 25 points. Harley Koth added 11 points, and Lily Sievert had 10 points.
