Centerville’s Second Half Key to Win over Beresford Girls

The Centerville Tornadoes turned a three-point halftime lead into a 69-43 win over the Beresford Watchdogs on Tuesday, December 31st.

The first two quarters of the game were played closely between the two teams.  Centerville held an 8-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.  They extended the lead in the second quarter, but just to three points, 27-24 by halftime.  The Tornadoes offense then got going in the second half.  They outscored the Watchdogs 20-12 in the third quarter for a 47-36 lead going into the fourth quarter.  Centerville then outscored Beresford 22-7 in the final quarter.

Harley Koth led the team with 12 points.  Ella merriman added nine points.  Lily Seivert had eight points.  Makiah Sharpe ended with six points.  Ashlynn Olson and Kendra Ellis both had three points each.
