Fourth Quarter Run Key to Win for Beresford Girls

The Beresford Watchdog girls made a run in the fourth quarter that was key to a 59-45 win over the Irene-Wakonda Eagles on Tuesday, January 23rd.

The Eagles held a 17-15 lead after the first quarter.  Beresford took the lead in the second quarter, and they were able to stay in front the rest of the game.  The Watchdogs led 26-23 at halftime.  Both teams scored 14 points in the third quarter, and Beresford led 40-37 going into the third quarter.  The Watchdogs used a 19-8 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

Ella Merriman had 26 points, three rebounds, three assists, and six steals.  Lily Seivert finished with 18 points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Harley Koth added nine points and 10 rebounds.  Kendra Ellis had two points and 11 rebounds.
