The Beresford Watchdog girls took the lead in the first quarter and held strong for a 63-55 win over the Chester Flyers at home on Saturday, January 20th.
Beresford had a small 16-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 31-26 at halftime. The Watchdogs continued to slowly grow the lead in the second half. Beresford led 45-38 going into the fourth quarter, and the lead reached double digits at times in the fourth quarter.
Ella Merriman had 23 points, three rebounds, and five assists. Harley Koth had 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Lily Seivert finished with nine points and four rebounds. Kendra Ellis added eight points and five rebounds.
