The Beresford Watchdogs notched their first win of the 2023-2024 season at home on Friday, December 29th. The Watchdogs hosted the Parker Pheasants and earned a 69-51 victory.
Beresford built a 17-8 lead by the end of the first quarter which was enough to keep them in front the rest of the game. The Watchdogs led 34-28 at halftime. They were able to extend the lead to 53-43 heading into the fourth quarter, and then they outscored Parker 16-8 in the final quarter.
Three players finished in double figures. Tiegen Nyhaug had 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Andrew Atwood added 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Malachi James had 14 points, two rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Cooper Nelson had seven points and six rebounds. Seth James finished with six points and nine rebounds, and Jon DeLay had six points and three rebounds.
