The Beresford Watchdog boys basketball team hosted the Baltic Bulldogs to start the 2023-2024 season on Friday, December 8th. The Bulldogs built a 20-point lead in the first quarter and took the win 74-38.
Baltic led 26-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs increased their lead to 40-15 by halftime. The offense kept rolling for Baltic as they led 61-26 going into the final quarter.
Beresford shot 29% (13-45) from the field overall, 36% (8-22) from three-point area, and 33% (4-12) from the free-throw line. Baltic shot 55% (30-55) overall, 39% (11-28) from three-point area, and 3-6 from the free-throw line.
Malachi James had 15 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Jon DeLay added nine points. Andrew Atwood finished with five points and six rebounds. Tiegen Nyhaug and Kaden Anderson both had three points each.
