The Baltic 17U baseball team had a one-hit shutout win, 6-0, in Canton on Tuesday, June 30th.
The first innings were scoreless before the two teams. Isaac Oakley and Cale Roach each had an RBI single in the top of the fourth. Elias Oakley had an RBI single, and Jackson Goehring followed with an RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth to push the lead to 4-0. Laken Kortemeyer had an RBI single in the top of the sixth, and E. Oakley had an RBI double in the top of the seventh.
Paxton Fuhrer had three hits, one a double. E. Oakley had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. I. Oakley finished with two singles and an RBI. Zach Helgeson ended with two singles. Goehring, Roach, and Kortemeyer all had a single and an RBI. Gavin Skotvold added a hit.
E. Oakley pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed a hit and three walks while recording 13 strikeouts. Skotvold pitched 1/3 of an inning and had a strikeout.
