The Baltic 17U baseball team dropped two games in Volga on Monday, July 6th.
Sioux Valley Jr Legion 11, Baltic 1
Despite having eight hits in the game, Baltic could only get one run across the plate. Sioux Valley had a seven-run second inning for a 7-0 lead. Elias Oakley had an RBI single in the top of the third. Sioux Valley, though, scored four more times in the bottom of the fourth. The game ended on the 10-run rule.
Gavin Skotvold and Bodhi Giedd both had two hits each. E. Oakley had a hit and an RBI. Paxton Fuhrer, Trey Van Wassenhove, and Laken Kortemeyer all had one hit each.
Sioux Valley Legion 13, Baltic 6
Sioux Valley built an early lead, 5-0, with four runs in the bottom of the first and another run in the bottom of the second. Baltic cut the lead to 5-4 with four runs in the top of the third. Sioux Valley scored two more runs in the bottom of the third and five more in the bottom of the fourth to push their lead to 12-4. Baltic had two runs in the top of the fifth. Sioux Valley added another run in the bottom of the sixth.
Brechen Fredrick had a double and an RBI. Skotvold and Cale Roach each had a single and an RBI. Jackson Goehring had a single. Fuhrer and Isaac Oakley both had an RBI.
