The Baltic 14U baseball team cruised to a big win over Elkton, 22-10, on Wednesday, July 9th.
Elkton scored six times right away in the top of the first inning. Baltic cut the lead in half, 6-3, with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Elkton added another run in the top of the second to extend the lead to 7-3. Baltic then rallied for six runs in the second and five more in the third for a 14-7 lead. Elkton plated three runs in the top of the fourth to make the score 14-10. Baltic would put the game away with eight more runs in the bottom of the fourth. The game ended on the 10-run rule after Elkton was held scoreless in the top of the fifth.
Michael Grunewaldt had three hits and four RBIs. Brody Hansen also had three hits with an RBI. Oliver Nedved had two hits, one a double, and four RBIs. Laken Kortemeyer ended with a hit and four RBIs. Braden Breece had a single and two RBIs. Everitt Bemboom and Bordy Aspass both had a hit with an RBI. Ayden Oschner added an RBI.
