The Baltic 14U baseball team exploded for 21 runs and took a 21-3 win over Brookings on Tuesday, June 17th in Brookings.
Baltic scored two times in the top of the first and then had a big 12-run second inning for a 14-0 lead. Brookings plated three runs in the bottom of the second, but Baltic added seven more in the third. Brookings was held scoreless in the bottom of the third, and the game ended on the 15-run rule.
Braeden Turner had three hits, one a double, and three RBIs. Laken Kortemeyer had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Brody Aspass also had three hits with an RBI. Michael Grunewaldt added two hits and three RBIs. Bordy Hansen and Oliver Nedved both finished with a single and double with two RBIs. Maddex Klein and Hayden Sundermann both had two hits and two RBIs each. Grunewaldt pitched all three innings and allowed three runs, just one earned, on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
