Bulldog Softball Faces Tough Tri-Valley Team

The Baltic Bulldog softball team traveled to Colton to take on a very tough Tri-Valley Mustang team on Tuesday, May 12th.  The Mustangs scored 14 of their 16 runs in the first two innings in a 16-3 win over the Bulldogs.

Tri-Valley scored nine times in the bottom of the first inning and five more in the bottom of the second for a 14-0 lead.  Anna Hoekman scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth inning to get Baltic on the board.  Ellie Pickett followed with a two-run single to make the score 14-3.  The Mustangs, however, ended the game on the 15-run rule with two runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Pickett finished with two hits and two RBIs.  Ashlyn Klein also had a single.  Charlee Blommer pitched four innings and allowed 16 runs, 10 earned, on 16 hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
