Bulldog Softball Posts Another Big Win

The Baltic Bulldog softball team posted their second straight big win in as many days on Friday, May 8th.  The Bulldogs defeated the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks 12-2 at home.

The Elks scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning, but it was all Baltic after that.  Kya Rollinger tied the game with an RBI ground out in the bottom of the first.  The Bulldogs took the lead with a run in the bottom of the second.  Ashlyn Klein added an RBI double, Amelia Sinding had a two run triple, and then Sinding scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the the third to make the score 6-1.

Kaylee Siemonsma had an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth.  Anna Hoekman also had an RBI single in the inning.  Madyson Determan and Pickett both had RBI hits, and Pickett scored on an error to extend the lead to 12-1.  The Elks scored a run in the top of the fifth, but the game would end on the 10-run rule.

Sinding had two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs.  Siemonsma had two singles with an RBI.  Klein and Rollinger both had a double with an RBI each.  Hoekman and Determan each had a single and an RBI. Analiyah Hansen also had an RBI.  Charlee Blommer pitched five innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on two hits and two walks with 12 strikeouts.
