The Baltic high school baseball team hit the road on Friday, April 11th to play the Mt Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney (MVPCS) Padres. The Padres scored in every inning but one in an 8-0 win.
MVPCS scored three runs in the bottom of the first and two more in the bottom of the second for an early 5-0 lead. They added single runs in the third and fourth innings to extend the lead to 7-0. After a scoreless fifth inning, the Padres added their last run in the bottom of the sixth.
Baltic was held to just three hits. Braxten Allen, Elias Oakley, and Isaac Oakley all had one hit each. E. Oakley pitched two innings and allowed six runs, three earned, on five hits and five walks with three strikeouts. Allen pitched four innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
