The Baltic high school baseball team scored all of their runs in one inning to score a 12-1 win over Garretson at home on Friday, May 15th.
Garretson scored their lone run right away in the top of the first inning. They held that 1-0 lead until the bottom of the fourth inning. Ten of the runs for Baltic game with one out. Jackson Goerhing tied the game with an RBI double. Brody Hansen followed with an RBI single to give Baltic a 2-1 lead. Isaac Oakley brought home two with a double. Mikey Grunewaldt had an RBI single. Cale Roach had a two-run double. Three more runs then came home on two errors and a wild pitch to make the score 10-1. I. Oakley drove home tow more runs on a single. The game ended on the 10-run rule after the top of the fifth inning.
I. Oakley had two hits, one a double, and four RBIs. Goehring had two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Roach added a double and two RBIs. Hansen and Grunewaldt both had a single and an RBI. Elias Oakley and Zach Helgeson each had a hit. I. Oakley pitched five innings and allowed just one earned run on one hit and eight walks with three strikeouts.
