Baltic Baseball Falls in First Home Game

The Baltic high school baseball team finally had their first home game of the season on Monday, April 22nd.  McCook Central/Montrose spoiled the home opener by defeating Baltic 14-7.

McCook Central/Montrose scored eight runs in the top of the first to build a lead they would never lose.  They added two more runs in the top of the second for a 10-0 lead.  Baltic rallied to cut the lead in half.  They scored a run in the second, two in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to make the score 10-5.  McCook Central/Montrose added two more runs in the sixth and seventh.  Baltic added two more runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Beau Breece had two hits and an RBI.  Isaac Oakley had a single and an RBI.  Tate Feucht added two hits, including a double.  Braxton Allen finished with two hits.  Riley Schultz and Jackson Goehring each had one hit.  Ryder Siemonsma had two RBIs.  Schultz pitched five innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on three hits and three walks with 10 strikeouts.  Feucht pitched 1 2/3 of an innings and allowed 10 earned runs on six hits and seven walks with three strikeouts.
