The Baltic high school baseball team hosted Lennox on Wednesday, April 24th. Lennox scored in five of the seven innings and had a seven-run seventh inning in their 18-3 win over Baltic.
The first runs of the game went to Lennox in the top of the first inning. Braxton Allen scored on an error in the bottom of the first to cut the lead in half 2-1. Lennox, however, scored four runs in the top of the second to go ahead 6-1. The score remained 6-1 until the top of the fifth. Both teams scored two runs in the fifth, and Lennox led 8-3. Lennox added three runs in the sixth and then seven more in the seventh inning.
Riley Schultz had two hits, one a double. Jackson Goehring add a single and an RBI. Allen finished with a double. Tate Feucht and Isaac Oakley both had a single. Allen pitched four innings and allowed six runs, two earned, on nine hits and a walk with three strikeouts. Beau Breece pitched 2 1/3 innings and allowed eight runs, four earned, on four hits and five walks with two strikeouts. Joseph Grunewaldt threw 2/3 of an inning and allowed four earned runs on five hits and a walk with one strikeout.
