Baltic Baseball Rallies and then Holds off Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery

Baltic scored 12 times between two innings to rally and then held off Hanson/Bridgewater-Emery (HBE) for a 13-11 win at home on Monday, May 1st.

HBE scored three times in the top of the first inning.  Riley Schultz put Baltic on the board with a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the third.  HBE extended their lead to 6-1 after scoring three more runs in the top of the fourth.

Baltic responded with a big bottom of the fourth inning.  Matt Muston reached on an error that scored two runs.  R. Schultz drove home two more runs with a single.  Tayden Hansen had a two-run double, and Jose Valadez had an RBI single giving Baltic an 8-6 lead.  HBC regained the lead in the top of the fifth, 9-8, with three more runs.  Baltic put together another rally in the bottom of the fifth.  Tate Feucht had an RBI double, Gunner Schultz reached on an error that scored Feucht, Hansen followed with a two-run single, and Braxton Allen had an RBI single for a 13-9 lead.  HBE got one run in the top of the sixth and another in the top of the seventh.

R. Schultz had three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs.  Hansen had two hits, one a double, and four RBIs.  Valadez and Allen both had two singles each with an RBI.  Beau Breace added two hits.  Muston had a hit with two RBIs.  Feucht finished with a double and an RBI.  R. Schultz pitched 3 2/3 innings allowing six runs, five earned, on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts.  Beau Keith pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on three hits and a walk with two strikeouts.  Hansen pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and a walk with a strikeout.
