Baltic Baseball Evens Record with Third Straight Win

The Baltic high school club baseball team evened their record at 4-4 with their third straight win on Wednesday, May 3rd.  Baltic defeated the Mt Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney (MVPCS) Padres 13-2.

Baltic jumped out to a quick lead with three runs in the top of the first.  Riley Schultz scored on an error, Beau Keith had an RBI single, and then Braxton Allen scored on an error.  The Padres got one run back in the bottom of the first.  R. Schultz added an RBI single in the top of the second to extend the lead to 4-1.  MVPCS cut the lead in half, 4-2, after a run in the bottom of the fourth.

Baltic then put the game away with nine runs in the top of the fifth.  Gunner Schultz and R. Schultz both scored on an error, Tayden Hansen scored on a passed ball, and Beau Breace, Tate Feucht,  R. Schutlz, and Hansen all had RBI singles.

R. Schultz had four hits, including a triple, and three RBIs.  Hansen had two singles and three RBIs.  Breace and Keith both had two hits each with an RBI.  Feucht had a hit and two RBIs.  G. Schultz also had a single.  Keith pitched five innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on two hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
