Baltic Baseball Falls in First Home Game

The Baltic high school club baseball team hosted their first home game of the season on Tuesday, April 24th.  Baltic had a lead for a couple of innings, but Sioux Falls Christian earned the win 15-5 in five innings.

Gunner Schultz scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the first inning.  Beau Keith had an RBI single later in the inning for a 2-0 lead.  Neither team scored in the second inning.  And then Sioux Falls Christian exploded for 11 runs in the top of the third.  Baltic got three runs in the bottom of the third.  Jose Valadez had a two-run double, and Keith had an RBI single.  Sioux Falls Christian got two more runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth.

Keith had two singles and two RBIs.  Valadez finished with a double and two RBIs.  Schultz had two hits, one of those a double.  Riley Schultz pitched eight innings allowing 15 runs, nine earned, on eight hits and five walks with two strikeouts.  Keith pitched one inning and allowed a hit and two walks with two strikeouts.
