The Alcester-Hudson Cubs (5-9) kept pace in the first half with the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots, but fell to them on Monday, January 30th.
Playing two halves instead of four quarters due to playing in Minnesota, the two teams ended the first half in a 33-33 tie. The Patriots put together a rally in the second half and outscored the Cubs 41-26 for the victory. Alcester-Hudson shot 38% (18-47) overall in the game, 1-4 on three-point attempts, and 71% (22-31) from the free-throw line.
Elly Doering had a double-double with 33 points and 10 rebounds. Emily Winquist finished with eight points and two steals. Sarah Ebert finished with seven points and two rebounds.
