Fourth Quarter Proves to be Difference in Canton’s Win over Cub Boys

The Canton C-Hawks rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Alcester-Hudson Cubs on Tuesday, December 19th.  After trailing by two points to start the quarter, Canton outscored the Cubs 20-5 in the final quarter for a 63-50 win.

The C-Hawks held a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter, 18-13.  The Cubs tied the game 27-27 with 2:45 to play in the second quarter.  Canton would end the first half with a six-point lead, 37-31.  Alcester-Hudson put together a strong third quarter and outscored Canton 14-6 for a 45-43 advantage going into the final quarter.  That’s when Canton put together their strongest rally of the night.

Three players finished in double figures for the Cubs.  Ethan Bovill had 17 point, five rebounds, and three steals.  Mateo Kleinhans had 11 points and two rebounds.  Jose Topete-Lopez finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Dominic Van Egdom had eight points and eight rebounds.  William Hallaway had four points and four rebounds.
