The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys basketball team won their second straight game and first road win on Saturday, December 16th. The Cubs defeated the West Sioux Falcons 53-36.
West Sioux had the lead at the end of the first quarter, 12-10, but the Cubs offense got rolling in the second quarter. Alcester-Hudson outscored the Falcons 17-11 in the second quarter for a 27-23 lead at halftime. The Cubs were able to extend their lead in the third quarter and led 40-32 going into the fourth quarter. The defense for the Cubs held the Falcons to just four points in the fourth quarter.
Three players finished in double figures on the night. Dominic Van Egdom had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Mateo Kleinhans had 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Ethan Bovill added 10 points and three steals. Jose Topete-Lopez had nine points and six rebounds.
