Centerville Stops Cub Girls Winning Streak

The Centerville Tornadoes stopped the Alcester-Hudson Cub girls winning streak at two games with a 71-38 win on Tuesday, February 4th.

The Cubs hung with the undefeated Tornadoes in the first quarter and trailed by just four points, 13-9, going into the second quarter.  Centerville pushed the lead to double digits at halftime, 25-15, but Alcester-Hudson was still playing strong against the #1 team in Class B.  The Tornadoes, however, started pulling away in the second half.  They outscored the Cubs 22-13 in the third quarter to make the score 47-28 going into the fourth quarter.  The Tornadoes would outscore Alcester-Hudson 24-10 in the final quarter.
