Strong Second Half Sends Chester to Win over Alcester-Hudson Girls

The Chester Flyers used a big second half to defeat the Alcester-Hudson Cubs 61-29 on Saturday, January 10th.

The Cubs started the game with a 5-0 run in the first two minutes.  The Flyers outscored the Cubs 15-4 the rest of the quarter for a 15-9 lead.  Alcester-Hudson stayed with Chester throughout the second quarter.  The Flyers led 24-18 until they made a three-point shot with less than :10 to go in the half to extend the lead to 27-18 at halftime.  Chester then had a big third quarter, outscoring the Cubs 24-4 to take a 51-22 lead into the fourth quarter.

Emma Solberg had nine points and four rebounds.  Emily Winquist finished with seven points and five rebounds.  Delta Pies added five points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Devin Honglso had four points.
