The Alcester-Hudson Cubs volleyball team started the 2024 season on the road in Menno on Tuesday, August 23rd. The Wolves took the match in four sets.
Three of the four sets needed extra points to determine a winner. Menno took the first set by a score of 26-24. The second set was the only one of the four that didn’t need extra time. The Wolves went ahead 2-0 with a 25-14 win the second set. Alcester-Hudson extended the match with a 27-25 win the third set. The fourth set also ended with a 27-25 score, but Menno won the set to earn the match.
Emma Moller finished with 10 kills and 11 digs. Hannah Ahart tallied nine kills, 23 digs, three set assists, and three ace serves. Paxtyn Moller finished with 22 set assists, 16 digs, and two kills. Jaeley Christensen had 15 digs and seven set assists. Baylee Klaschen had 21 digs, and Jenna Manning had 13 digs.
