Cubs Girls Basketball Team Falls to Raiders

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs girls basketball team played their second straight road game to start the season on Thursday, December 7th.  The Cubs played the Gayville-Volin Raiders with the Raiders taking the win 44-29.

Gayville-Volin built a lead in the first quarter that kept them in front the entire game.  The Raiders ended the opening quarter with a 19-7 lead.  They extended the lead to 27-11.  The Cubs trailed 38-20 after three quarters of play.

Alcester-Hudson shot 33% (13-40) from the field overall, 20% (2-10) on three-point attempts, and 1-5 from the free-throw line.  The Raiders were 33% (16-48) from the field, 40% (6-15) on three-point shots, and 6-9 from the free-throw line.

Alexis Gray and Elly Doering both had eight points each.  Emma Solberg finished with four points.  Emily Winquist had three points.  Delta PIes, Sarah Ebert, and Devin Hongslo all had two points apiece.
