Ahart Hits Dig Milestone, Cubs Fall to Canton

The Alcester-Hudson Cub volleyball team celebrated a milestone on Monday, October 9th.  The Cubs traveled to Canton to play the C-Hawks.  Canton took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-19, and 25-12.  Hannah Ahart reached 1,000 career digs in the match.

All three sets started with a 3-3 tie with the C-Hawks making a big run later.  In the first set, Canton went on a 5-0 run after the initial 3-3 tie.  They continued to extend the lead to 21-11 before winning 25-12.  The second set continued to a 7-7 tie and was tied again 13-13.  The C-Hawks then went on a 9-1 run for a 22-14 lead before winning 25-19.  The third set also had multiple ties, 7-7 and again at 10-10.  Canton finished the match on a 15-2 run for a 25-12 win.

Ahart finished with 10 set assists, eight digs, two kills, and an ace.  Emma Moller had three kills and six digs.  Devin Honglso had four kills.  Carly Patrick added five digs and two kills.  Elly Doering had three blocks and two kills.  Alexis Gray added two kills.  Jenna Manning tallied nine digs, and Baylee Klaschen had six digs.
