The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys basketball team returns nine letter winners and three seniors from a team that finished 4-18 last season.
“We have a solid amount of younger players ready to make an impact as well. We will have the largest number of athletes in many years. This year we will rely on our leaders to guide us to a successful season. They will decide if this team wins their first conference title in over 30 years. The success of this year will be determined on how much effort everyone puts into teamwork on and off the court,” said head coach Marty Petersen.
The seniors this year are Owen Bovill, Caden Winquist, and Carter Klaschen. They will be joined by juniors Michael Kast, Dom Van Egdom, Mateo Kleinhans, Will Hallaway, and Jayce Jund, as well as sophomores Ethan Bovill, Evan Brown, and Jose Topete-Lopez.
The cubs start the season at home against Gayville-Volin on Thursday, December 8th.
