Alcester-Hudson Finishes 1-3 at Sanford Pentagon Tournament

The Alcester-Hudson Cub volleyball team finished 1-3 in four matches at the Sanford Pentagon Tournament in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 24th.

In the first match of the day, the Cubs fell to the Milbank Bulldogs in straight sets by scores of 20-25 and 14-25.  The Cubs then played the Hanson Beaverettes and lost in three sets.  Alcester-Hudson won the first set 25-22, but lost the next two 21-25 and 23-25.

The Cubs earned a win in the third match against the Canistota Hawks.  The Cubs won the first set 25-23, but the Hawks took the second set 21-25.  Alcester-Hudson won the third set 25-18.  The final match was against the Winner Warriors, and the Warriors won in straight sets 20-25 and 19-25.

Carly Patrick finished with 25 kills, 16 digs, and four ace serves on the day.  Emma Moller had 18 kills, 50 digs, and six aces.  Alexis Gray also had 18 kills along with 30 digs and three ace serves.  Elly Doering finished the tournament with 12 kills, 24 digs, and three blocks.  Devin Hongslo had 10 kills and nine digs.  Ella Serck finished with 62 set assists, 51 digs, and an ace.  Hannah Ahart had 55 digs, 14 ace serves, and nine set assists.
