The West Central Trojan wrestling team competed in the Madison Invite on Saturday, December 17th. The boys team finished third with 197 points. The girls team finished 11th with nine points.
Karson Vessells won the 120-pound weight class. Justin Zirpel took first in the 160-pound class. Rayce Whiting (152) and Gabe Gebhard (195) both had a second place finish. Alex Siemonsma (106) and Keaton Vessells (170) each had a third place finish. Orlando Whiting (126), Connor Siemonsma (145), Cain Grocott (182), and Gavin Pischke (285) all placed fifth. Langdon Klinkhammer (132), Jesse Jost (138), and Cody Opitz (220) each finished sixth. Allison Foote took first in her division with two wins.
Braylon Robbins (120), Levi Anderson (126), Hayden Whiting (126), Patrick Hammond (126), Kadyn Sauers (138), Ashton Gebhard (160), and Cyrus Maras (182) also competed in the tournament.
