West Central Girls Roll to Win over St Thomas More

The West Central Trojan girls earned a 51-36 over the St Thomas More Cavaliers at home on Friday, January 16th.  West Central pulled away through the middle quarters for the win.

The Trojans held just a three-point lead, 12-9, at the end of the first quarter.  They would extend the lead to 26-17 by outscoring the Cavaliers 14-8 in the second quarter.  The Trojans would outscore St Thomas More by the same 14-8 difference in the third quarter to increase the lead to 40-25 going into the fourth quarter.  Each team would score 11 points in the fourth quarter.

West Central shot 42% (18-43) from the field overall, 26% (5-19) on three-point shots, and 10-11 from the free-throw line.  St Thomas More finished the game shooting 27% (9-34) overall, 12% (2-17) from three-point area, and 76% (16-21) from the free-throw line.

Kacey Jaton had 23 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Ellie Knight ended with nine points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Ayla Kramer added seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Abbi Thornton ended with six points and three rebounds.
