The West Central Trojan boys varsity wrestling team finished third at the Madison Invitational on Saturday, December 20th. The Trojans had 165.5 points. Fargo Davies won with 205.5 points, and Madison placed second as a team with 166 points.
West Central had three first-place finishers. Karson Vessells took the top spot in the 126-pound class with a 3-0 record. Brody Gossen won the 132-pound division with a 4-0 record. Langdon Klinkhammer was first in the 144-pound weight class with a 3-0 record. Caden Roe placed second in 113-pound class with a 3-1 record. Bentley Klinkhammer was also second in the 120-pound class with a 2-1 record.
Hayden Whiting (157) had a third-place finish with a 3-1 record. Alex Siemonsma (138) finished 3-2 on the day to finish fourth. Spicer Johnson (106) picked up two wins had placed sixth. Jett Whiting (150) finished 1-2 for the day.
