The West Central Trojan track team had a great day at the Beresford Lions Track Meet on Tuesday, May 6th. The girls won the team title with 171 points. The boys finished in a tie for second with 142 points.
Aubrey Borns won the 400m dash in a time of 1:03.37. Brooklyn Sunderman won the 1600m run in a time of 5:36.09 and second in the 800m run in 2:35.20. The 4x100m relay team of Rayan Goehring, Baylee Poss, Avery Pressler, and Vera Jesse won in :51.28. The 4x800m relay team of Cambree Ideker, Bailey Stallman, Ellie McDonald, and Lucy Rozeboom also won with a time of 10:17.71. Poss was second in the 400m run in 1:04.15. Elizabeth Stofferahn was second in the 100m hurdles in :17.05. Mara Schultz was second in the shot put with a throw of 35’5″. The sprint medley relay team of MOrgan Haneke, Maelee Krempges, Pressler, and Sarah Johnson took second in 4:49.41.
Patrick Hammond won the 200m dash (:23.02) and placed second in the 100m dash (:11.26). Preston Butts won the 400m dash (:52.34), was second in the 100m dash (:11.26), and second in the 200m dash (:23.02). Johnathan Roth won the 800m run (2:09.33) and won the 1600m run (4:40.14). The sprint medley relay team of Boche Knight, Dylan Bettcher, Evan Jaton, and Zach Nielsen won in 3:54.29. Elliot DeJong took second in the 400m dash in :52.75. Kade Hruby finished second in the 3200m run in 11:43.18. Zach Nielsen was second in the high jump at 5’9″. The 4x400m relay team of Jaton, Peyton Barrick, Brody Johnson, and Nielsen placed second in 3:43.84.
