West Central Girls and Boys Wrestling Teams Both Take Top Spot at Rider Invite

Both the West Central Trojan girls and boys wrestling teams took the team title at the Rider Invitational on Saturday, December 7th.  The girls team won with 56 points.  The boys team took the top spot with 211.5 points.

Kyliegh Schuller won with three wins.  Hailey Fortney also took the top spot in her weight class with three wins.  Leah Schuller finished sixth with a 1-3 record.

Kaden Haakinson (106:  3-0), Bentley Klinkhammer (113:  3-0), Bordy Gossen (120:  4-0), Karson Vessells (132:  3-0), and Keaton Vessells (157:  4-0) all won their respective weight classes.  Alex Siemonsma finished second in the 126-pound class with a 2-1 record.  Caden Roe (106:  3-1) and Langdon Klinkhammer (144:  4-1) both finished third.  Grayson Pischke (113:  2-2), Hayden Whiting (150:  3-2), and Cody Opitz (215:  2-2) had fourth place finishes.  Cain Grocott (190-pound) finished fifth with a 2-2 record.  Peyton Barrick (126-pound) finished sixth with a 1-3 record.

Jett Whiting (120-pound), Brason Parmely (144-pound, and Braylon Robbins (157-pound) all finished with 2-2 records.  Braxton Huber (175-pound) was 0-2 on the day.
