Trojan Boys Were on Fire in Madison

The West Central Trojan boys had a near perfect first quarter to set the tone in their in Madison against the Bulldogs on Friday, February 13th.  West Central cruised to a 76-31 win to improve to 18-0 on the year.

The Trojans scored 26 points in the opening quarter after nearly making all of their shot attempts and led 26-9 at the end of the quarter.  They were able to extend the lead to 43-16 by halftime.  The Trojans didn’t take long to trigger the running clock in the third quarter.  They extended their lead to 63-24 going into the fourth quarter.

West Central shot an incredible 70% (28-40) overall in the game, 62% (8-13) on three-point attempts, and 75% (12-16) from the free-throw line.  Madison, meanwhile, shot 34% (11-32) overall, 19% (3-16) from three-point area, and 60% (6-10) from the free-throw line.

Connor Mebius finished with 27 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Will Kuhl added 19 points and four rebounds.  Bubba Kono had eight points.  Tanner Wagner ended with six points, and Kolte Garry had five points.
