West Central Cruises to Road Win over Tri-Valley

The West Central Trojans turned a three-point lead into a 60-27 road win over the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Tuesday, February 3rd.

The Trojans led by just three points, 11-8, at the end of the first quarter.  That was as close as the Mustangs would be the rest of the game.  The West Central defense held Tri-Valley to just two points in the second quarter, a field goal with :40 left in the half.  The Trojans extended their lead to 27-10 by halftime.  The run continued throughout the second half.  They outscored Tri-Valley 22-10 in the third quarter for a 49-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

West Central shot 58% (22-38) from the field, 33% (7-21) on three-point shots, and 69% (9-13) from the free-throw line.  Tri-Valley finished the game shooting 31% (9-29) overall, 28% (5-18) from three-point area, and 4-7 from the free-throw line.

Will Kuhl had 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists.  Hayden Heier added 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Kolte Garry ended with nine points and five rebounds.  Connor Mebius had eight points, seven assists, and two rebounds.  Carter Gross also had eight points.
