Trojan Boys Remain Undefeated, Roll Past Hill City

The West Central Trojan boys basketball team won their sixth straight game of the year as they rolled past the Hill City Rangers at home 69-42 on Friday, January 2nd.

The Trojans built a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never looked back.  They led 23-10 at the end of the first quarter.  Hill City did score the first six points of the second quarter, but West Central finished the half on a 25-5 run for a 48-21 halftime lead.  The Trojans were on cruise control in the second half with each team scoring 21 points.

West Central shot 54% (27-50) overall in the game, 35% (7-20) on three-point shots, and 73% (8-11) from the free-throw line.  Hill City finished the game shooting 38% (15-39) overall, 32% (8-25) from three-point area, and 4-4 from the free-throw line.

Three players finished in double figures.  Will Kuhl had 15 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Connor Mebius added 14 points, five assists, three rebounds, and three steals.   Boche Knight had 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Hayden Heier had nine points, three rebounds, and three steals.
