Constant Improvement the Goal for West Central Trojan Girls Basketball for Season

The West Central Trojan girls basketball team finished last year with a two-point loss to Dakota Valley in the SoDak 16 to finish 14-9 overall on the year.

This year’s team will return eight players with experience from a year ago.  Seniors Abbi Thornton and Ayla Kramer will be joined by sophomores Kacey Jaton, Kaylie Schutlz, Jordyn Phillips, Bailey Stallman, and Avery Eberhard along with freshman Ellie Knight as key players this season.  New comer Mackenzie Skonhovd is also expected to contribute.

“We excited to begin and expect to have a challenging season.  We are working hard to keep improving and to hopefully play our best basketball at the end of the season,” said head coach Joe Caffrey.

The Trojans will start the season on the road in Baltic on Tuesday, December 9th.   Their first home game will be Tuesday, December 16th against Vermillion.
