The West Central Trojan football team matched up against the #1 Sioux Falls Christian Chargers in the 11A semifinals on Friday, November 7th. The Trojans had their season come to an end with a 35-0 loss to the Chargers.
Sioux Falls Christian got on the board about the middle of the first quarter. They had a three-yard touchdown run and made extra point with 5:06 to go in the quarter for a 7-0 lead. The score remained 7-0 going into the second quarter. The Chargers added another score late in the second quarter. This time they scored on a 15-yard touchdown pass with 3:04 remaining in the half. A made extra point put the score at 14-0 going into halftime.
The Chargers put the pressure on the Trojans in the third quarter. Sioux Falls Christian had a seven-yard touchdown pass with 6:14 to go in the quarter. They then added a five-yard touchdown run with 1:42 remaining in the third. Both extra points were made to extend the lead to 28-0 going into the fourth quarter. Sioux Falls Christian had one more touchdown with 5:43 to play on a four-yard touchdown run.
The Trojans finish the 2025 season with a 7-4 overall record.
