The West Central Trojans went on a run of 34 straight points to help them to a 41-19 win over the Canton C-Hawks on Friday, September 26th.

First Half

West Central opened the game with a bang.  They forced a turnover on the opening kickoff, and on the very first play, Braylon Robbins scored on a seven-yard touchdown run.  John Goehring made the extra point for an early 7-0 Trojan lead.  Canton provided some fireworks of their own in the first quarter.  On the next kickoff, the C-Hawks took it 90 yards for a touchdown.  The extra point was good, and with 11:35 remaining in the opening quarter, the game was tied 7-7.  The C-Hawks scored again later in the first quarter on an 86-yard touchdown pass.  The extra point was blocked, but Canton led 13-7 after the opening quarter.

Robbins found the end zone again with 10:39 to go in the second quarter on a 13-yard run.  Goehring added the extra point to put the Trojans ahead 14-13.  Robbins added his third touchdown of the game on a one-yard run with 3:45 to go in the half.  Another Goehring extra point made the score 21-13.  The score stayed 21-13 at halftime.

Second Half

Boche Knight added to the run early in the third quarter.  With 10:37 left in the third quarter, Knight scored on a nine-yard touchdown run.  The made extra point extended the lead to 28-13.  Carter Gross connected with Kolte Garry on an eight-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter.  The extra point attempt was no good, but West Central pushed the lead to 34-13.

Gross would add a rushing touchdown with 10:39 to play in the game from 25 yards away.  Goehring made the extra point to make the score 41-13.  Canton finally got back in the end zone and ended the 34-point run with a six-yard touchdown run with 1:57 remaining in the game.
