Trojan Volleyball Wins Four at Bon Homme Tournament

The West Central Trojan volleyball team won four of their five matches played at the Cavalier Clash in Bon Homme on Saturday, September 20th.

The first match of the day was against Corsica-Stickney.  The Trojans defeated the Cougars in straight sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-18.  West Central then faced the Kimball/White Lake WiLdKats.  The match took three sets, but the Trojans took the win by scores of 25-7, 23-25, and 25-7.

The Trojans won their third match of the day after defeating the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies.  West Central took this match in straight sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-20.  The lone loss for West Central was against the Lennox Orioles.  Lennox won the first set 25-161.  The Trojans bounced back for a 25-21 win to force a third set. The Orioles, however, won the final set 25-12.

To wrap up the classic, West Central faced the Parkston Trojans.  West Central had no trouble with Parkston and won in straight sets by the same 25-16 score.

The Trojans are 9-3 on the season and will host undefeated Dakota Valley on Tuesday, September 23rd.
