Peyton Tetzlaff and Brooklyn Sundermann had a big week for the West Central Trojan Cross Country teams recently.
West Central took part in the Augustana Twilight Cross Country Meet in Sioux Falls on Friday, September 5th. Sundermann finished 26th out of 414 runners with a time of 18:33.96. Sarah Johnson (54th) had a time of 19:06.81. Lucy Rozeboom (122nd) finished in 20:01.97. Aubrey Borns (205th) completed in 21:00.81. Addison Jaspers (210th) finished in 21:02.93.
Tetzlaff placed 20th out of 513 runners in a time of 15:36.08. Zach Nielsen (150th) had a time of 17:08.97. Kyper Hilger (248th) finished in 17:51.20.
The Trojans then competed in the Jesse James Cross Country Invite in Garretson on Tuesday, September 9th. The girls team finished second overall with 25 points. Sundermann finished second with a time of 19:36.93. Johnson was fifth in 20:35.21. Sadie Wuebben placed seventh in 21:38.93. Rozeboom (17th) completed in 22:43.80. Borns (21st) had a time of 23:15.71. Kelsey Sundermann (22nd) finished in 23:19.58, and Aleah Graham (23rd) had a time of 23:31.53.
Tetzlaff took the top spot individually for the boys with a time of 16:41.51. Nielsen was ninth in 18:27.98. Hilger finished 14th in a time of 18:53.86.
