Dell Rapids PBR scored four times in the final two innings to steal a 5-3 win over the Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks on Tuesday, July 8th.
The Wood Ducks took the lead in the bottom of the first when Jearl Jesson scored on a wild pitch. They added two runs in the bottom of the third. Brodie Herr had an RBI double, and Braden Herr followed with an RBI single. PBR got one run back in the top of the fifth to make the score 3-1. Dell Rapids added another run in the top of the eighth to pull within a run, 3-2. The big inning for PBR came in the top of the ninth when they scored three times to take a 5-3 lead. The Wood Ducks went down in order in the bottom of the ninth to end the game.
Braden Herr had two hits and an RBI. Brodie Herr had a double with an RBI. Brayden Odegaard, CJ DenBoer, and Hayden Whiting all had one hit each.
