The West Central Royal 17U and West Central Gold 17U teams did battle on Monday, June 16th. Royal took the win in three innings by a score of 18-1.
Gold got their run right away in the top of the first inning. Royal scored five times in the bottom of the first to go ahead 5-1. They added 13 runs in the bottom of the second. After Gold was unable to score in the top of the third, the game ended on the 15-run rule.
Taylan Sichmeller had a double and RBI for the Gold team. Nick Lorang had two hits and three RBIs for Royal. Carter Evans had two hits and two RBIs. Hayes Cain finished with a double and three RBIs. Zach Lorang had a double and two RBIs. Taten VanOverbeck also had a double with an RBI. Keaton Vessels had a single with two RBIs, and CJ DenBoer had a double.
