The West Central Trojan track team traveled to Madison for the Dan Barker Relays on Friday, May 9th. The girls finished second with 106 points. The boys team took fifth with 72 points.
Aubrey Borns won the 800m run with a time of 2:26.29. Brooklyn Sunderman won the 1600m run in 5:32.28. Sarah Johnson finished second in the 3200m run in 12:46.86. The sprint medley relay team of Hailey Fortney, Morgan Haneke, Kaylie Schultz, and Ellie McDonald finished second in 5:00.47. Elizabeth Stofferahn was second in the 100m hurdles in a time of :16.80. Vera Jesse was fourth in the 100m dash in :12.96. Avery Pressler was fourth in the 200m dash with a time of :27.73. Lucy Rezeboom placed fourth in the 800m run in 2:29.06. Hollly Berg placed fourth in the 100m hurdles in :17.18. Maelee Krempges was fourth in the long jump with a jump of 16’0.25″.
The 4x100m relay team of Boche Knight, Rylee Hartung, Patrick Hammond, and Preston Butts won with a time of :44.30. The 4x200m relay team of Butts, Hartung, Elliot DeJong, and Hammond won in 1:32.11. The sprint medley realy team of Butts, DeJong, Hartung, and Jonathan Roth won in a time of 3:43.22. Liam Schmeichel was second in the 110m hurdles with a time of :14.70. Brody Johnson took third in the 400m dash in :53.66. Kade Hruby was third in the 1600m run in 5:01.17. Zach Nielsen was third in the high jump with a leap of 5’7″.
