West Central Softball Suffers Loss to Harrisburg

The West Central Trojan softball team suffered their first loss of the season on Friday, April 25th.  The Harrisburg Tigers defeated the Trojans 7-2 in Hartford.

After a scoreless first inning, West Central took the lead in the bottom of the second.  M Kunzweiler hit a two-run home run to left field to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead.  Harrisburg tied the game, 2-2, in the top of the third with two runs.  The Tigers then had a big, five-run top of the fifth to give them a 7-2 lead.

The Trojans were held to four hits in the game.  Kunzweiler had two of them, a single and home run, with two RBIs.  Ayla Kramer and Briauna Hoff each had a single.  Elisabeth Miller pitched seven innings and allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits and four walks with 11 strikeouts.
