West Central Softball Remains Perfect

The West Central Trojan softball team remained unbeaten after a 13-5 win over the Tri-Valley Mustangs in Crooks on Tuesday, April 22nd.

The Trojans built a big lead in the first two innings.  They scored three runs in each of the first two innings for a 6-0 lead.  They added single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to make the score 8-0.  Tri-Valley finally got on the board in the bottom of the fifth with a run.  West Central added four runs in the top of the sixth inning, while the Mustangs scored three times.  The Trojans led 12-4 going into the final inning where both teams each scored a run.

Ayla Kramer had four hits, one a double, and three RBIs.  Maddy Kunzweiler had three hits, including a double and home run, with three RBIs.  Briauna Hoff ended with two singles and a double.  Elisabeth Miller had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.  Addy Kunzweiler had two singles with an RBI.  Izzi Parsons ended with two hits.  Sophie Rolfon had a double, Miley Travis a single, and Kadence Lupkes had an RBI.

Miller pitched all seven innings and allowed five runs, four earned, on 11 hits and a walk with 12 strikeouts.
